Personal Data Protection Policy

1. Purpose and Scope

This Personal Data Protection Policy (“Policy”) has been prepared by Barva International Trade (“Company”) to determine the procedures and principles regarding the processing, storage, protection and deletion of personal data in accordance with the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVKK“).

The Policy covers personal data belonging to customers, potential customers, business partners, suppliers, visitors and other third parties who have a relationship with the Company.

2. Principles of Personal Data Processing

Barva International Trade processes personal data in accordance with the following principles set out in Article 4 of the KVKK:

  • Compliance with law and good faith

  • Being accurate and up-to-date when necessary

  • Being processed for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes

  • Being relevant, limited and proportionate to the purposes for which they are processed

  • Being retained for the period stipulated by the relevant legislation or required for the purpose for which they are processed

3. Purposes of Personal Data Processing

Personal data may be processed for the following purposes:

  • Conducting communication activities

  • Planning and execution of commercial activities

  • Execution of offers, contracts and business processes

  • Customer relations and business development activities

  • Fulfillment of legal obligations

  • Ensuring information security processes

  • Operation of website and digital platforms

4. Types of Personal Data Processed

Types of personal data that may be processed by the Company are as follows:

  • Identity information (name, surname, etc.)

  • Contact information (phone, email, address, etc.)

  • Transaction security information

  • Request and transaction information

  • Legal transaction and compliance information

  • Digital environment data (IP address, log records, etc.)

5. Transfer of Personal Data

Personal data may be transferred, in compliance with Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK and by taking necessary security measures, to:

  • Authorized public institutions and organizations

  • Legal and financial consultants

  • Business partners and service providers

Data transfers abroad are carried out in accordance with the provisions of the relevant legislation.

6. Retention and Security of Personal Data

Barva International Trade takes the necessary technical and administrative measures to ensure the security of personal data.
Within this scope:

  • Prevention of unauthorized access

  • Prevention of data loss

  • Ensuring system security

is targeted.

Personal data is deleted, destroyed or anonymized when the purpose of processing ceases to exist or the legal retention period expires.

7. Rights of the Data Subject

In accordance with Article 11 of the KVKK, data subjects have the right to:

  • Learn whether their personal data is being processed

  • Request information if it has been processed

  • Learn the purpose of processing

  • Request correction if it is incomplete or inaccurately processed

  • Request deletion or destruction if it is processed unlawfully

  • Request notification of the transactions to third parties

  • Claim compensation in case of damage

8. Application and Communication

Requests within the scope of KVKK can be submitted to the Company in writing or by other methods specified in the legislation.
